Hack for Good
For the purpose of this event and to raise awareness on the importance of education, Hack The Box and PayPal are supporting Khan Academy. By joining the CTF, you will contribute to a $5,000 donation. Help us reach our goal and spread the message.
Across the globe, 617 million children are missing basic math and reading skills. Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help give every child a chance to learn.
HOW TO JOIN
Get your team ready. Sign up.
- Go to → ctf.hackthebox.com/uni-ctf-registration
- Create a new account or join with an existing one. If this is the first time you join our CTF platform, you will be asked to “Join A Team” or “Create A Team”. You can skip this step for now if you do not know with which team you will be participating with.
- See all CTFs listed under ctf.hackthebox.com/ctfs and watch out for the top banner HTB University CTF 2021 is now open!
- Click REGISTER on the top banner. Add your academic email, check your inbox and insert the code. This step needs to be completed by all team members, not just the team captain!
- Once you are verified, select the university you will be representing. Not seeing your university listed? Check out how to add it here.
All universities need to be part of the HTB university list. It’s free and only takes a few minutes to fill in and 24h to confirm. - Now wait for a confirmation email and... voilà! You are registered. You will get a confirmation email within a few hours.
Once you have completed your registration to the CTF following all steps above, the Team Captain of the team will only need to click “JOIN” on Uni CTF 2021 Quals. Make sure all the Team Members have completed the registration process and get ready for the competition!
Join our Discord server and check out #uni-ctf-21-quals to meet your opponents, share hacking tips and connect.
Add your participation on CTFtime. Your ranking will be uploaded after the CTF ends. Don’t miss a single point!

SIGINT - University of Edinburgh
Hack The Box University CTF was a really fun CTF where we competed against international universities.
It had great challenges and an amazing community. We enjoyed getting together with like-minded people for a weekend of hacking.
Would recommend this for anybody interested in having fun while learning cybersecurity.
