Today, Cyber Performance Center, Hack The Box, announced its commitment to addressing the growing demand for skilled cyber talent and bolstering the U.S. cybersecurity workforce. In alignment with the Biden-Harris Administration’s National Cyber Workforce and Education Strategy (NCWES), Hack The Box aims to train 20,000 individuals by 2026, equipping them with critical cybersecurity skills through targeted initiatives designed to close the nation’s cybersecurity workforce gap.

Since 2017, Hack The Box has focused on empowering the next generation of cybersecurity professionals by delivering cutting-edge, hands-on training and skill development programs for public and private sector organizations, universities, and academic institutions, as well as individuals.

On December 2, White House National Cyber Director Harry Coker, Jr. announced four new commitments aimed at expanding pathways, removing barriers, and connecting job seekers with opportunities across the country. As part of this national effort, Hack The Box outlined its commitment to train and introduce more than 20,000 individuals to job roles through its gamified platform, providing training aligned with the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. In addition, by 2026, Hack The Box pledges to host 50 Capture The Flag (CTF) events, emphasizing outreach to high schools and universities, while collaborating with government agencies to bridge the cybersecurity skills gap and enhance national resilience.

"Cybersecurity is not just a technical field; it is a critical component of national security and economic resilience," said Haris Pylarinos, Founder and CEO at Hack The Box. "We are proud to contribute to strengthening the nation’s cybersecurity workforce. Our focus is on increasing the representation of women, underrepresented groups, veterans, transitioning service members, and individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. By fostering a skill-based learning methodology, we enable employers to evaluate real-world competencies. Through our platform, Federal Agencies can assess and validate practical cybersecurity skills, while also providing continuous education and upskilling to ensure individuals maintain and enhance their capabilities over time.”

With these commitments, Hack The Box continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the U.S. cybersecurity workforce, ensuring national resilience.

“A core mission of Hack The Box is to provide tailored solutions that address the unique needs of our clients in the Federal and SLED sectors,” highlighted Dan Magnotta, Federal Business Development Manager at Hack The Box. Through cutting-edge, hands-on upskilling environments and close collaboration with government entities, Hack The Box ensures teams are equipped with the critical skills needed to defend against evolving cyber threats. Our commitment to innovation and accessibility empowers Federal clients to build a strong, diverse cybersecurity workforce.”
