The Hack The Box team is back to the biggest hacking and security conference in the world! We are very excited to announce our presence at the 30th edition of DEF CON, from August 11th to 14th in Las Vegas.
Why attend DEF CON 30?
Over the last 30 years, DEF CON has been among the iconic gatherings of great hackers and cybersecurity enthusiasts. The event puts together education, practical hacking, and networking. This year, more than 30,000 individuals are expected to attend the event from all around the world.
DEF CON 30 will be a great opportunity to be directly in touch with our community, exchange ideas, feedback, and get a preview of upcoming HTB projects and releases. We aim to provide an incredible experience to all the attendees and everyone passing by our booth: lots of great swag, materials about the latest HTB training services, and our enthusiastic community team are waiting for you. This year, we are more than proud to partner with IoT Village to learn and have fun all together. Over the years, IoT Village has served as a platform to showcase and uncover hundreds of new vulnerabilities, allowing attendees to learn about the most innovative techniques to hack and secure IoT. We are happy to join forces and showcase great hardware hacking content during the IoT Village CTF.
HTB DEF CON 30 CTF: House Edge
When: 12th -14th August 2022
The House Edge is a term used to describe the mathematical advantage that the gambling game, and therefore the commercial gambling venue, has over you as you play over time. This advantage results in an assured percentage return to the venue over time and an assured percentage loss of what you bet. Ready to travel inside a space casino?
“House Edge” is a themed CTF powered by Hack The Box (and part of the IoT Village CTF) that will make players dive into four standalone IoT hacking themed challenges, exclusive and customized for the event. Your goal is to gain access to the security systems, enter the space casino, and finally retrieve the precious content inside. Take the challenge and show us your skills!
The TOP 3 teams of the Hack The Box “House Edge” CTF will receive an amazing HTB swag pack, a limited edition HTB t-shirt designed only for DEF CON, and even points to compete in the official DEF CON Capture The Flag event.
