Their story 

NVISO Security is a pure-play European CyberSecurity firm that specializes in technical services that help businesses Prevent, Detect & Respond to cyber attacks.

Their services include penetration testing, adversary emulation, managed detection & response services, cyber strategy & architecture, and cloud security.

Unsurprisingly, their team of specialists (who routinely participate in events such as the RSA Conference and deliver external training courses) must be on their A-game across many aspects of cybersecurity. 

Their goal

Given the nature of the work they do for customers and partners, the team at NVISO has always prioritized staying ahead of the curve by aggressively learning - and mastering - new subjects and technologies.

In many instances, learning platforms provide content that can feel monotonous and otherwise quite bland. That’s when Firat Acar, NVISO’s Red Team CyberSecurity Consultant, set out to find a CyberSecurity training solution to keep his colleagues engaged in continuous development.

Firat and his team started using Hack The Box in 2019 to push the boundaries of their technical skills with exciting, practical challenges that prepared them for a variety of exploits and vulnerabilities.

NVISO combined the Academy for Business and Dedicated Labs products to provide a broad spectrum of upskilling opportunities to teams across the organization.

“We use Academy to onboard new joiners or those interested in moving to the security assessments division, whilst the Dedicated Labs are used by individual colleagues and teams for private learning or for team events like our ‘Hacktion Nights’.”
